Ranee graduated at the prestigious Parsons School of Design and interned at Donna Karen afterwards. In 2012, she earned her Master degree of Science (Conservation) at The University of Hong Kong, specializing in design and history of Qipao.  Ranee first launched her own fashion label “ranee_k” in New York in 1999. Since then, Ranee was actively involved in various fashion projects, uniform design, brand endorsement & art and charity functions worldwide. Companies and brands that she has worked with including Shanghai Tang, Fancl, The Peninsula Hong Kong and Henderson Land Development Co. Ltd etc. Ranee won numerous internationally acclaimed awards, including “Marie Claire Fashion Icon Award”  in 2011, “Ten Outstanding Designers Award”, “40 under 40 Award” as one of the 40 Most Outstanding  Young Designers in Greater China in 2007, and “Young Talent Designer Award 2002” by Harper’s  Bazaar, etc. Ranee’s passion and focus are mainly in designing Qipao, evening gowns and wedding dresses. She loves to mix Eastern elements together with contemporary cutting that offer a sense of beauty and confidence to women nowadays.
